2017 Finpower Letter

Finpower Charters

Since 1975

March 23, 2017

Dear Fishing Friends,

After surviving another long Michigan winter, we are more than ready to begin our 42nd season of charter fishing on the Great Lakes.  Most of you have been a part of our “fishing family” for many years, and some for over 25.  We want to thank you for making it possible for us to continue to do what we love and share that joy with others.  Without your support, our small family business would not have made it this far.

As usual, each year we try to make some positive changes to our fishing schedule on both Lake Michigan for salmon/trout and Lake Erie for walleye.  At the end of each fishing season we take a close look back over our fishing schedule and fishing success.  We then try to adjust it to give our customers the best opportunities possible for successful and enjoyable fishing experiences.

Our 2017 fishing schedule is as follows:

  • We will be offering Spring salmon/trout fishing trips out of South Haven, MI from early May through the first week of June.  The early fishing has been very steady out of South Haven the past few years and we want to take advantage of that opportunity.

  • Our Lake Erie walleye fishing has been outstanding for the past three years so we are adding another boat to our line up.  Walleye trips will be offered on two boats from late May through July.  If you have not yet tried the walleye fishery, this would be the year to do it.  We are looking forward to an outstanding season on Lake Erie.

  • We will be offering salmon/trout charters on Lake Michigan out of our homeport of Ludington from July 3rd through mid-October.  Last year we managed to land some of the largest King Salmon we have seen in many years.

Tracey and I, along with Kaydence (10) and Kaleb (8) look forward to seeing you again this year.  If there is anything we can help you with please call us at (231)425-0125.  We appreciate your continued business.
